New Umpire Development Course – Coming to Milwaukie High School

Game Time Officials is excited to bring our New Umpire Development Course to Milwaukie High School, starting Sunday, February 15, from 1:00–3:00 PM.

This is a 4-week course designed for anyone interested in becoming a baseball umpire — students, former players, parents, or anyone looking for a great side job and a way to stay involved in the game. No experience required.

This course features hands-on, on-field instruction with a focus on mechanics, positioning, and building confidence so new umpires are prepared to step on the field and call games.

There is a real shortage of umpires, and this course is designed to help develop confident, capable officials while creating opportunities for people in the community.

This 4-week course is designed to build confident, knowledgeable, and professional umpires. Participants will learn proper mechanics, positioning, signals, rule applications, and real game situations through hands-on instruction and classroom discussion. The course focuses not only on calling plays, but also on communication, game management, and professionalism on the field.

This program is perfect for students, athletes, parents, former players, or anyone interested in becoming an official. No prior umpiring experience is required.

New Umpire Development Course – DBat Columbia Basin

Interested in becoming a baseball umpire or sharpening your skills behind the plate? We’re excited to announce our New Umpire Development Course at DBat Columbia Basin, kicking off February 21 from 1–3 PM!

This is a 4-week course designed to give new and developing umpires a strong foundation in officiating. Participants will learn on-field mechanics, positioning, rules knowledge, game management, and communication—all taught by experienced instructors in a supportive, hands-on environment.

This course is open to anyone interested in umpiring—students, athletes, parents, or anyone looking to get involved in the game. Whether you’re brand new or looking to improve your skills, this program will help prepare you for working youth and lower-level games this upcoming season.

If you’ve ever thought about umpiring, now is the perfect time to get started.

New Umpire Development Course is coming to Woodland, WA!

This is a 4-week course designed for anyone interested in becoming a baseball umpire, whether you’re brand new or looking to sharpen your skills. Our instructors will cover on-field mechanics, positioning, rules, and game management to help prepare officials for the upcoming spring and summer seasons.

Umpiring is also a great summer job for high school and college students, offering flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and valuable leadership experience.
